Hey, I’m Nick, the founder of Nightly Rest Labs.
I’ve always had the kind of mind that wants to build things. From an early age, I knew I wasn’t meant to take the traditional path. Entrepreneurship pulled me in because it represented freedom; the chance to create something that mattered, on my own terms.
But somewhere along the way, I fell into the same trap that catches so many ambitious people: the belief that sleep is optional. We glorify exhaustion. Hustle culture taught me that the later you stay up, the more you care. The less you rest, the more you deserve success.
So my coffee machine became my best friend...
And for a while, that mindset felt like it was working. I was chasing goals, building momentum, proving to myself that I could do it all. But beneath the surface, I was running on fumes.
I’d wake up with unbelievable brain fog, needing coffee before I could think straight. My patience disappeared. My creativity, the thing that used to come so easily, began to fade.
There’s a certain irony in the idea of “sleep when you’re dead.” If you follow that mantra long enough, it becomes true. The human body simply isn’t built for constant output. You can’t get away with it whether you’re 21, 45, or 75. At some point, your health sends you a bill.
I started to question why I felt so depleted. And then I got sick and my business almost fell apart.
So I decided something needed to change. I began tracking my sleep with tools like Whoop. I listened to researchers like Dr. Andrew Huberman explain how hormones, light exposure, and daily habits affect the brain’s ability to recover. I read work on energy and mindset; ideas about alignment that felt miles away from the “grind harder” advice I’d been living by.
The more I learned, the clearer it became: sleep isn’t a luxury. It’s the foundation for everything that makes life good → focus, patience, health, and joy.
But knowing that didn’t make it easy to fix. I’ve had sleep issues for years. I tried everything; sleeping pills, blue-light blockers, meditation, every protocol you can imagine. Some of it helped a little, most of it didn’t. Nothing felt consistent or sustainable.
I was exhausted; fully propped up on coffee and energy drinks. I tried basically every supplement on the market and nothing seemed to help.
For a while, I was even having a couple glasses of wine near bedtime to help with sleep onset. All that did was cause me to start waking up at 3:00 AM every single night.
So I started digging deeper. I wanted to understand the biology of sleep. Not just how to get more of it, but how to make it restorative. I worked with formulators, tested different ingredient combinations, adjusted timing and dosage, tracked results, and kept refining until something finally clicked.
For the first time in years, I started waking up feeling genuinely rested, clear-headed, calm, and energized. That was the breakthrough moment. I’d cracked the code on what actually worked for me.
It wasn’t created in a lab for a marketing launch. It was born out of personal need; the result of years of frustration, curiosity, and experimentation. When it worked, I knew I couldn’t keep it to myself.
That’s why I founded Nightly Rest Labs: to share what I’d learned and to help others find the kind of rest that changes everything.
This brand isn’t about selling another supplement. It’s about reminding people, especially those who push themselves hard, that rest isn’t a weakness. It’s the thing that allows you to keep going, to think clearly, and to live an amazing life.
I still admire the drive of people like Gary Vee or Grant Cardone, but I’ve also learned that most of what you see online is performance. They’re great at telling stories. But the truth is, none of them would be where they are without good sleep and recovery.
Real productivity doesn’t come from running yourself into the ground; it comes from restoring your energy so you can show up again tomorrow.
That’s what Nightly Rest Labs stands for. It’s a reminder that success and sleep aren’t opposites; they depend on each other.
We created our products for people who care about their goals but are ready to take care of themselves, too. Because when you finally start sleeping well again, everything else falls into place.
